Men's Tennis Beats Western New Mexico, 5-4 (From Saturday)

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The Mesa men's tennis team scored a 5-4 win over NCAA Division II Western New Mexico Saturday, but the MCC women fell, 7-2.  

"Both teams played very well," said head coach Adam Cohen. "This is the best doubles team I've seen on my men's side since I've been at Mesa. The women played great but just fell short in some close matches.  We play them again in a couple weeks and I think we can improve and possibly win both.  But Western New Mexico has very good teams."  

The T-Bird women will host NCAA Division III Gustavus-Adolphus Thursday on the MCC courts and then both teams will entertain Imperial Valley, of California, Friday.
