NCAA Division I Idaho State tops men's tennis, 6-1

  LAS VEGAS, NEV. - Having already defeated NCAA Division I Portland State, the Mesa men's tennis team was unable to re-create the magic again against an opponent from the highest level of college sports, falling to Idaho State, 6-1.

  Mesa actually won two matches, and was very competitive in several others.

  Vitali Kotenialets (Fr., Ukraine) won at No. 4 singles over Josh Goodwin, 6-3, 6-2.

  In doubles, Harry Busby (So., England) teamed with Max Wightman (Fr., Scottsdale, AZ/Desert Mountain H.S.) to win at No. 1, 6-2.

  The T-Birds will return to ACCAC action Thursday, hosting Glendale at 1:30 p.m.
