Men's tennis rolls to third straight win, blanks Paradise Valley, 9-0

  PARADISE VALLEY, AZ - The Mesa men's tennis team rolled to its third straight win to open the season, topping Paradise Valley, 9-0, in MCC's first ACCAC match of the year Thursday.

  No 1 singles player Harry Busby rolled to his fifth straight victory dating back to the fall with a 6-0, 6-0 blanking of Evan Gazic.

  Max Wightman, playing at No. 2 singles, topped Zach Hackerott, 6-0, 6-1.

  The doubles team of Andy Nguyen (So., Bien Hoa, Vietnam/Hamilton (AZ) H.S.) and Nick Silvestri (Fr., Scottsdale, AZ/Notre Dame Prep H.S.) won 8-0 at No. 3 doubles.

  Mesa travels to Pima Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
