Almost perfect, men's tennis opens with win over Imperial Valley

  MESA, AZ - The Mesa men's tennis team began its 2015 season in near-perfect fashion, blanking visiting Imperial Valley (Calif.), 9-0, Friday, losing just two games in the process.

  Mesa scored 6-0, 6-0, wins in four of the singles matches and took all three doubles 8-0 in a dominating performance.

  Harry Busby, at No. 1, Nicholas Silvestri, No. 4, Duong Nguyen at No. 5 and Kevin McMahon at No. 6 all swept their singles matches without dropping a single game.

  MCC will play Desert Highlands in an exhibition and Colorado-Pueblo in matches on Feb. 14 in Scottsdale
