Men's Tennis Chases National Championship Beginning Today

    PLANO, Texas - Ranked No. 7 in the nation, the Mesa men's tennis team will begin play in the NJCAA national tournament today at several different locations around the Plano, Texas, area in the event hosted by Collin College.

  The T-Birds cruised to the Region I title, winning all nine flights.

  MCC's No. 3 doubles team of Gustavo D'Ascenzi (So., Campinas, Brazil/ Colegio Fleming H.S.) and Ryan Huss (So., Mesa, AZ/Red Mountain H.S.) is seeded No. 3.

  MCC finished tied for 19th place a year ago.
