Mesa, AZ - Mesa men's soccer moves to 3-0 on the season as they defeated the Glendale Gauchos Thursday night at John D. Riggs Stadium, 2-1.
Two of the T-Birds sophomores provided the scoring on the night as Jesus Garcia scored Mesa's first goal early in the contest, with the assist coming from Alan Valadez. Mesa held a 1-0 advantage at half.
Moises Durazo netted Mesa's second goal early in the second half, a header with an assist from Jesus Garcia. That goal put Mesa ahead 2-0. The Gauchos added their lone goal in the 71st minute but another solid perfomance in goal by Isaiah Garay solidified Mesa's third overall victory on the season.
The T-Birds will play at Phoenix College this coming Saturday night at 7 pm.
