Fessler, men''s golf team, both finish third at NJCAA DII National Preview
Joplin, Mo. – Both Trey Fessler and the Mesa men's golf team finished in third place at the NJCAA DII National Preview which wrapped up Tuesday.
Fessler carded an even-par 71-71-74—216 to finish just one shot behind co-winners Jon Hopkins, of Mississippi Gulf Coast and Ben Epperly, of Kirkwood. The three were the only ones to finish the 54-hole event at par or below. No other players finished better than ten over par.
The MCC team concluded with a 309-308-310—927 over the rugged Twin Hills G&CC course. Kirkwood was the team winner at 893 and Mississippi Gulf Coast was second with a 917 total.
Dylan Middlemiss wound up tied for 14th place with a 79-77-77—233 and Bosse Lennsen was 18th at 78-78-79—235.
The T-Birds take a big break before concluding their fall season at the Gold Canyon Fall Preview at the Gold Canyon G.C. in Gold Canyon, AZ.
