Hardman, Guess still in top 20 after three rounds at NJCAA men's golf

Foley, Ala. – In a round interrupted twice by lightning, Mesa's two best players remained among the top 20 at the NJCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championship Wednesday.

Austin Hardman and Jake Guess stayed near the top of the leaderboard at the Glen Lakes G.C.

Hardman is tied for 11th place after shooting an even-par 72 to post a three-over 219 total for 54 holes.

Meanwhile, Jake Guess improved two spots to a tie for 18th. He carded a two-over 72 Wednesday and has a six-over-par 222 total for the tournament.

MCC's other individual, Ryan Porter, shot an 80 and is tied for 83rd place at 238.

Thunderstorms are again in the forecast for Thursday's final round. Because of the threatening weather a system of cuts will be employed for the final round as per NJCAA rules. For individual players the top 24 will make the cut which will include both Hardman and Guess. Porter will not make the cut.
