Men's golf slips to fourth place finish at Monster Shootout
Thatcher, AZ – Slipping to a 303 on the second day of play, the men's golf team finished fourth at the Monster Shootout Tuesday.
Mesa completed play with a 296-303—599 and was passed by Pima which recorded a 298-294—592 to grab third place. South Mountain won the event played at the Mt. Graham G.C. with a 273-291—564 and Eastern Arizona took second with a 279-289—568.
Austin Hardman, MCC's leader after round one with a 71 equaled that score Tuesday to tie for fourth place with a 71-71—142. Ryan Porter carded a 73-75—148 to close in a tie for 13th place.
After that, Zane Smith finished 26th recording a 73-80—153 and Jake Guess tied for 33rd place carding an 80-78—158.
The T-Birds wait two weeks for their next competition, the South Mountain Invitational April 9-10 at the Legacy G.C.
