Men's golf fourth after first day of Scottsdale Inv.

  Sun City, AZ - The Mesa men's golf team was in fourth place after shooting a two-under-par 290 during the first round of the Scootsdale Invitational. The event was played Monday at the Hillcrest G.C.

  Eastern Arizona and South Mountain were co-leaders at 279 while host Scottsdale was four shots clear of MCC with a 286.

  For the T-Birds, Austin Hardman and Jeff Kelley were tied for 13th place with even-par 72s. Jake Guess and Dayton Federleey were one shot further back and tied for 18th.

  The even concludes Tuesday.
