Kelley Cards a 17th Place Finish, T-Birds Finish 11th at San Marcos Fall Classic

VISTA, CA. – Playing the tough Vista Valley Country Club, the Mesa men's golf team placed 11th among 17 primarily four-year colleges at the California State – San Marcos Fall Classic which concluded Tuesday.  

MCC shot a 313-309- 310—932 for the 54-hole event. Victoria (BC) won the tournament with a 34 over-par 886, illustrating the difficulty of the course.  

Jeff Kelley led the T-Birds, tying for 17th place with a 72-77- 78—227. Brad Pottle tied for 23 rd place at 79-74- 76—229.  

Gage Grimes finished at 80-80- 80—240, tied for 54 th place. Jake Guess tied for 62 nd place carding an 84-82- 76—242 and Dayton Federley was 65 th with an 82-78- 83—243.  

The tournament concluded Mesa's fall season.
