Men's golf takes second at Glendale Invitational

  SUN CITY, AZ - Mesa and South Mountain played dead even on the second day of the Glendale Invitational at the Sun City G.C. Friday, but that did not allow the T-Birds to catch the Cougars as MCC finished second, four shots back.

  Mesa shot a four-under 572, but saw SMCC come in a eight-under 568.

  Austin Fletcher (So., Memphis, Tenn/Mountain Pointe (AZ) H.S.) placed second individually with a five-under 139 while Brandon Carlson (So., Gilbert, AZ/Perry H.S.) was fifth at 142.

  MCC plays in the Chandler-Gilbert Invitational Monday and Tuesday Feb. 16-17 at the Toka Sticks G.C. in Mesa.
