Men's Basketball Ink Jeffery Perez from Apollo

The Mesa men's basketball program have inked their first signee for the 2017-2018 with the addition of Jeffery Perez from Apollo High School.

Perez is a lefty shooting guard from the 2017 class at Apollo HS (Glendale, AZ) who finished runner-up for this year's 5A State Championship. He's a hard-working, high IQ & high motor student-athlete who will represent the T-Birds with integrity.  

 He averaged 10 ppg while shooting 37% from the 3pt line - making a season high 6 3pt FG's vs. Centennial.  

He made two or more 3's in 18 of all 30 games he started for the Hawks. He also shot 82% from the FT-line.  

Perez also does a great job in the classroom and is working toward earning the Presidential Honors Scholarship at MCC.
