Holloway named second team NJCAA Division I All-American
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo - Khari Holloway (So., Jackson, Miss/Mountain Pointe (AZ) H.S.) has been named an NJCAA Division I men's basketball All-American.
He becomes the first Mesa player to earn the honor since Stephen Rogers in 2009-10.
Holloway led the T-Birds to another great season with a spot in the Region I championship game as the No. 1 seed. Mesa finished 21-9.
He averaged 17.2 points per game along with 4.8 assists and 4.0 rebounds.
He led the nation in free throw shooting, making 162-174 for a .931 percentage. He also ranked fourth in the ACCAC in three-point shooting at .425.
Holloway had a career-high of 31 points in a win over Cochise, and had streaks of 41, 28 and 19 consecutive made free throws during the season.
