Holloway named ACCAC Division I Player of the Week

  MESA, AZ - Khari Holloway (So., Jackson, Miss/Mountain Pointe (AZ) H.S.) has been named ACCAC Division I Player of the Week for the period Dec. 8-14.

  The honor comes for his efforts in Mesa's two wins last week, 79-64 over South Mountain and 85-79 in overtime against Pima.

  Holloway averaged 20.5 points and 8.0 assists in the two contests.

  Against South Mountain he scored 19 points and had eight assists, while in the Pima game he led with 22 points and had eight more assists. In that contest he scored MCC's last seven points in the final two minutes of regulation time, including a three-pointer that sent the game into overtime.

  He is eighth in the nation in free throw shooting with a .917 percentage. He has made 55 of 60 attempts.
