Rathen Ricedorff Earns WSFL Offensive Player of the Week

Rathen Ricedorff has earned the Western States Football Player of the Week honor for his performance against the #7 Phoenix College Bears Saturday night.

For Ricedorff, this is his fifth time earning WSFL Player of the Week, the third this season.  Ricedorff also earned NJCAA Player of the Week when he help lead Mesa over then #1 Snow College in week four.

Ricedorff had a night to remember as he threw for 447 yards on 33-43 passing with six touchdown passes with his longest going for 54 yards.  He connected with 10 different receivers on the night with all six touchdowns finding the hands of six different receivers.  Ricedorff also ran for 32 yards on five carries and scored the first touchdown on the night, a six yard scamper up the middle.

Nationally, Ricedorff is leading the country in yards per game with a 354.7 average.  He is second in the country with 24 touchdown passes, total passing yards (2128), attempts (233), and completions (151).  His completion percentage (64.8%) ranks him fifth nationally and he is tied for the longest touchdown pass of the season (87 yards).
