Sam Low Singles Home 2 Runs to Help #2 Mesa Walk-Off in 9th vs Thompson River, 7-6 Final

Mesa, AZ - Left to their final three outs to score at least four runs to tie, Mesa eye-balled a 6-2 deficit heading into the bottom in the ninth inning.

The T-Birds however recorded five hits, a walk, a hit by pitch to score five runs without recording an out to win it 7-6 against Thompson River Sunday afternoon.

Mesa tallied 17 total hits on the afternoon and had the bases loaded three different times throughout the game but just couldn't convert them to runs.  The Wolfpack on the other hand had the bases loaded once and hit a grand slam, which ended up being the difference in score in the ninth inning.

But a single up the middle by Sam Low scored both Bradley Goodman and Jake Fryer to give the T-Birds its 12th win overall for the season.

Mesa will continue its conference schedule this week as they play Tuesday at Glendale at 3 pm then at home vs Glendale on Wednesday at 3 pm.  Saturday, Pima visits Mesa for a double-header, all beginning at noon.
