Lewis, Peterson and Denning Homer in #15 Mesa's Win Over Chandler-Gilbert, 10-3

Mesa, AZ - The #15 Mesa Thunderbirds reached the 20 win mark on the season with a 10-3 victory over Chandler-Gilbert Thursday afternoon.

This was a continuation of the game that was postponed February 14th when the T-Birds and Coyotes only completed two full innings due to rain.

Mesa had big homeruns from Ben Lewis, Riley Peterson and Connor Denning.  Lewis hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning to tie the game at two at that point.  On the very next pitch, Peterson lined one of the left field wall to take a 3-2 advantage.

In the fifth inning, with a runner on, Denning went to right field with his fifth homerun of the season.

Carter Robinson and Xavier Carrasco handled the pitching for Mesa with Robinson coming away with the victory.

The T-Birds will be right back in action tomorrow afternoon when they host the Scottsdale Artichokes for a 3 pm first pitch.
