Zimmerman, Mosca sweep ACCAC Baseball Player of the Week honors

  MESA, AZ - Jordan Zimmerman (So., Mesa, AZ/Red Mountain H.S.) and Matt Mosca (Fr., Las Vegas, Nev/Cimmaron-Memorial H.S.) made a clean sweep of the ACCAC weekly awards taking Player and Pitcher of the Week honors last week.

  Zimmerman went 11-20, for a .550 batting average, as Mesa swept both Eastern Arizona and Central Arizona in doubleheaders and defeated Madison (Wisc.), the team that finished third in last year's NJCAA Division II World Series. He added six RBIs, scored four runs, had two doubles and stole two bases.

  Mosca had a brilliant start against EAC. In seven innings he allowed just one unearned run and three hits. He struck out an amazing 14 and walked only one.
