Nash had 15 kills and 17 digs but Aztecs volleyball falls at No. 16 Mesa CC

The Pima Community College volleyball team (3-5, 1-1 in ACCAC) played its first road ACCAC conference match of the season on Wednesday at Mesa Community College (6-1, 2-0).

• The Aztecs tied the match after a second set victory but fell in four sets to the No. 16 ranked Thunderbirds (25-19, 25-27, 25-21, 25-23).
• Sophomore Madi Nash (Sahuaro HS) finished the match with a double-double of 15 kills and 17 digs. Fellow sophomore Emily Robinson (Cienega HS) posted nine kills and four blocks.
• Freshman Savanna White (Payson HS) had eight kills and seven blocks while freshman Aydalis Felix (Rincon HS) finished with 16 digs.

The Aztecs will host a non-conference match on Friday against the College of Southern Nevada at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium. First serve is at 11:00 a.m.
