PUMAS STRUGGLE TO FIND GROOVE AGAINST THUNDERBIRDS

It was a Tough Day for the Pumas on Saturda, losing 15-5 to the Mesa Thunderbirds. 

The Pumas fired up the offense in the second inning, when Freshman Anthoine Shell hit a solo homer. It was the Pumas first home run of the season. The Pumas put up another run in the top of the third for a 2-0 lead. 

The Thunderbirds scored three runs in the third inning to take the lead. They never relinquished the lead thereafter. 

Adam Koski toed the rubber for PV. Koski surrendered three runs on four hits over three innings, walking one. Michael Modrick and Carlos Molina entered the game as relief, throwing two innings and one and two-thirds innings respectively. 

The Pumas tallied eight hits on the day. Shell and Ryan Romero each managed two hits to lead the squad.
