The Lady Monsters traveled to Mesa, AZ on Wednesday, October 4th to battle Mesa Thunderbirds.
"Mesa is a good solid team with great ball control and few mistakes. We knew we would have to be patient and play the "long" game", says Coach Kay.
The Lady Monsters focused on minimizing offensive errors and ended up hitting .245%.
"It was good for us to play 5 sets and fight for the win", says Coach Kay.
Melanie Merrill had a match high with 17 kills, Olivia Lunt with 16 kills, and Steliyana Chakarova with 8 kills. Macee Anway had 27 assists and Asya Akbulut had 28 assists.
Defensively, EAC dig leaders were Kadence Moore with 27 digs, Macee Anway with 17, and Quincy Cummard with 16 digs.
Loimata Siaka led with 3.5 blocks and Emma Orton with 3 blocks.
12 team blocks was a big contributing factor to a successful night for the Lady Monsters.
