Briana Clah, Janessa Aukward and Obi Megwa Earn Post Season Honors

The All-Region and All-ACCAC men's and women's basketball teams have been announced and Mesa had two women's players and one men's player honored on this years list.

Briana Clah earned All-ACCAC First Team and All-Region First Team (DII) honors for her performances in 2015-2016.  Clah averaged 15 points a game with 5 rebounds a game.  She stepped into the point guard position this year and was the unquestable leader of the women's team.  Her quick shot and accurate shot from anywhere made her a threat from both three and off the dribble.

Janessa Aukward earned All-ACCAC Third Team and All-Region Second Team (DII) honors.   Aukward averaged 10 points a game while pulling down near three rebounds a game.  She made 69 three-pointers on the season and her ability to shoot in big situations is what made Janessa so lethal.

Obi Megwa earned All-ACCAC Second Team (DI) and All-Region Second Team (DI) in his freshman season at Mesa.  Megwa averaged 14.8 points a game while averaging 4.2 rebounds a game.  Megwa broke into the starting lineup from the get go and led the Mesa offense throughout the season.  His ability to snake through opponents into the paint and score was unmatched by any other point guard in the conference.
