Mesa Women's Cross Country Finishes 9th at Nationals, Men Finish 14th Place

Garden City, KS - The Mesa Thunderbirds mens' and women's cross country teams had a solid showing at the 2018 NJCAA National Championships this past Saturday and Sunday, with the women's team finishing with a 9th place finish, while the men took 14th place.

Individually on the women's side, Quin Johnson finished 27th overall with a 20:09.09 result while Rachel McCleve had a 20:37.6 finish.  Both runners earned All-American honors.

On the men's side, Tristan Stellmach earned the only All-American honor with a 35th place finish, running a 27:20.5 race in the 8k.  Flynn Furmann finished just two seconds shy of earning All-American honors, running a 27:30.5 race, a 41st place finish.
