
MCC Cross Country packs their bags for the Highlander Invitational in California on Saturday

MCC Cross Country hit the road on Saturday as they will participate in the Highlander Invitational in Riverside CA.
Men's Cross Country:
The No. 1 ranked Thunderbirds are flying high as they took home the ACCAC Championship two weeks ago.
Jorge Trujillo led the way for MCC finishing 5th (25:20), Javier Garcia came in 6th (25:26), Greyson Akers finished 7th (25:33), and was quickly followed by Wyatt Williams who came in 8th (25:34).
Women's Cross Country:
The No. 4 ranked Lady T-Birds look to improve on their third place finish at the ACCAC Championships just two short weeks ago.
Regina Raimo finished 11th (20:45), Taylor Jacobs finished 18th (21:29) with teammate Danna Martinez Porras quickly behind as she finished 19th (21:30). Destiny Hernandez came in 25th (21:47), Kendra Guest came in 27th (22:03) and Tiffany Sanchez finished 37th (26:00).
The 8,000m course for the men and 6,000m course for the women is mainly flat with a few rolling hills to navigate.
The men will begin at 8:00 a.m. with the women following at 8:40 a.m.
