#12 (1) Mesa Volleyball Face #10 (2) Scottsdale For Region I/ACCAC DII Championship at 4 pm
For the second time in two days, #12 (1) Mesa volleyball will have to face #10 (2) Scottsdale, but this time it's for all the marbles.
The T-Birds and Artichokes will tangle for the Region I/ACCAC DII Championship at Theo Heap Gym at 4 pm. Mesa defeated Scottsdale Friday afternoon in straight sets to advance to the championship match while the Artichokes then had to play later Friday night for the oppurtunity to play into today's contest. They defeated the South Mountain Cougars in straight sets to advance.
Since Mesa has won each of the first two matches they have played so far in the tournament, if they win match one today, they will advance to the NJCAA National Tournament that is being held November 17-19th in Charleston, West Virginia. If the Artichokes win match one, Mesa and Scottsdale will play a winner take all at 7 pm for the right to go to Nationals.
