Gilbert, AZ - The #15 ranked Mesa Thunderbirds went into Chandler-Gilbert Wednesday night and defeated the Coyotes in four sets, 20-25, 25-10, 25-22, 25-17.
"It was a good win," said head coach Megan Taylor.
Mesa has now won their last three matches, all coming against DII conference opponents, with two of the victories coming on the road.
The T-Birds are now 11-4 overall, 8-2 in the ACCAC. They will face another tough road challenge this Friday when they play a rubber match with South Mountain. The Cougars defeated Mesa earlier in the season at the Scottsdale Invite in four sets but the T-Birds got the best of the Cougars less than a week later at home, as they also won in four sets.
