MCC adds another volleyball recruit; Valley Christian's Ashley Harrison

  MESA, AZ - The list of Mesa volleyball recruits for the 2015 season has grown again with the addition of Ashley Harrison, of Valley Christian H.S.

  Harrison joins three other players: Casey Reid, of Apache Junction H.S.; Lauren Palmer, of Gilbert H.S. and Malicabeth Weigele, of Shadow Mountain H.S., who have committed to the T-Birds' program under the new direction of coach Matthew Werle.

  Harrison is a dynamic outside hitter who earned all-state honors this past season. 

  "I am extremely excited to have Ashley in our gym," says Werle.  "She is a one-of-a-kind athlete and is a tremendous person as well.  Ashley will be a huge part of the Thunderbird offense next season."

  Mesa will begin play for the 2015 season in late August.
