Three set sweep sinks Volleyball

Mesa, AZ- Mesa volleyball fell in another three set sweep against the Roughriders from Yavapi Wednesday night at Theo Heap Gym.

Although it was a sweep for Yavapi, Mesa played tough through all three sets, keeping close points wise and most importantly, not giving up easy points on serves and silly mistakes.

Mesa Head Coach Matthew Werle mentioned after the game that he liked how his club stayed competive the whole match.

Tia Kannapel(So., Fountain Hills, AZ, Fountain Hills H.S.) led Mesa with 11 kills with Hannah Marang(So.,Yakima, WA, West Valley H.S.) finishing with eight kills.  Taylor Ka'alele(So., Maimanolo, HI, Henry J. Kaiser H.S.) had a team high 17 assists with Breanna Royer, (So., Idalia, Idaho, Wray H.S.) finished with 13 assists.

Mesa will be back in action next Wednesday night, October 22, hosting Pima at 7 p.m.
