Volleyball plays tough in 3-0 loss at Eastern Arizona

  THATCHER, AZ - In a battle of three close sets, the Mesa volleyball team fell to Division I Eastern Arizona, 3-0, Wednesday.

  After a close, 25-22, loss in the first set, MCC fell 25-19 in the second and then took EAC to the limit in the third, 25-23.

  Hannah Marang, pictured right, (So.,Yakima, Wash/West Valley H.S.) had an outstanding night producing 12 kills on 31 attempts with just one error for a .355 attack percentage. Breanna Royer (So., Idalia, Idaho/Wray H.S.) contributed 14 digs and Mariah Buchanan (Fr., Victorville, Calif/Poston Butte (AZ) H.S.) had 13 assists.

  Mesa visits Central Arizona Saturday for a 7:00 p.m. match.
