Volleyball lose four matches at Scottsdale Classics

SCOTTSDALE, AZ-  Mesa volleyball went into the annual Scottsdale Classic looking for its first match win of the season but walked away with four straight match loses,one coming Thursday against Scottsdale, two Friday against Victoria and Central Wyoming College and one on Saturday against Central Arizona College.  The T-Birds were not even able to win a set in any of those four matches.

Mesa's record on the season is now 0-9, 0-5 in conference play.

Even though the T-Birds dropped four matches, there were some impressive individual performances.  Shelby Murphy(Show Low, AZ, Show Low H.S.) finished with 23 assists against Scottsdale.  Taylor Ka'alele(Waimanolo, HI, Henry J. Kaiser H.S.) had 21 digs against Victoria while Mariah Buchanan(Victorville, CA, Poston Butte H.S.) had 20 assists.  

Mesa will be on the road next week when they travel to Eastern Arizona Wednesday and then down to Central Arizona but then they will be back home on September 24th against Scottsdale.
