Women's tennis breezes past Paradise Valley, 9-0
Paradise Valley, AZ – The Mesa women's tennis team made short work of Paradise Valley Tuesday in a 9-0 victory running its winning streak to 10-0.
The MCC women are now 10-3 overall and 5-0 in ACCAC play.
Said head coach Adam Cohen, "Our women went in and out of PVCC in under an hour and a half. Completely dominant today. It is definitely attributable to all of the hard work they are putting in."
Three of the T-Birds scored 6-0, 6-0 wins in singles play. Yolanda Carlon, the No. 43 player in the country won at No. 3 over Bianca Amaya. Hannah Nelson defeated Cheyanna Anderson at No. 5 and Michelle Fournier took the No. 6 match over Ali Ambriz.
Fournier and Nelson also took an 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles over Chanel Ruiz and Ambriz.
Mesa will host Pima Wednesday in an ACCAC match at 1:30 p.m.
