Women's Tennis National Tournament DAY 3 Results

TYLER, Texas – Four of Mesa's six singles players advanced to the semi-finals, but all three doubles teams fell in quarter-final action at the NJCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championship Tuesday being played at Tyler Junior College.  

The T-Birds are now in third place with 31 points, trailing ASA and Tyler which are tied with 36.  

The four semi-finals will be held Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. CDT.  

Both MCC players that lost fell to No. 1 seeds and all three of Mesa's seeded players advanced.

Singles

No. 4 – Naa Ankrah (Fr., Amsterdam, Netherlands) d. No. 5 seeded Andjela Rajovic, Cowley, 6-4, 3-6, 6-0.  

Ankrah will play No. 1 seeded Mingxiu Du, ASA.  No. 5 – No. 3 seeded Hanna Nelson (Fr., Mesa, AZ) d. Jordyn Hull, Meridian, 6-3, 6-1. Nelson will play No. 2 seeded Michelle Walker, Tyler.
No. 6 – No. 2 seeded Maria Garduno (Fr., San Luis Potosi, Mexico) d. Logyn Williams, Cowley, 6-4, 6-1.  Garduno will play No. 3 seeded Elena Tendero, Tyler.  

Doubles
