Mesa, AZ - The Mesa Thunderbirds only needed one goal Saturday night as they defeated the Cochise Apaches women's soccer team, 1-0.
It was Berkeley Larsen who netted Mesa's only goal in the 8th minute of play that helped Mesa get the win. Rebekah Norris did a fantastic job in goal as she made five saves on the night, recording her third shutout of the season.
Mesa moves to 4-1-1 on the season. They will play Monday at home against Snow College beginning at 4:30 pm then they will open up conference play when they host South Mountain on Thursday at 4:30 pm while finishing on Saturday with a visit to Gateway at 4:30 pm, with the match being held at Eagles Park in Mesa.
