Glendale, AZ - The Mesa Thunderbirds women's soccer team put a five spot on the Glendale Gauchos Tuesday afternoon in a 5-2 victory.
Mia Martinez and Emily Lynch score Mesa's first two goals, each coming in the first half. It was Lynch who scored Mesa's third goal just 33 seconds into the second half, also her sixth and seventh goals of the season, to put Mesa ahead 3-0.
After Glendale scored their two goals, it was Jordan Cullimore who scored her first goal of the season to put Mesa ahead 4-2. Martina Bueno scored Mesa's fifth and last goal of game, her fourth goal of the season. Monica Chavez recorded two assists on the day while Zoe Zepeda accounted for another assist for the T-Birds.
The T-Birds move to 6-9-1 on the season with a 6-9-1 conference record. Mesa will play at South Mountain on Thursday afternoon then at Cochise College on Saturday at noon.
