Mesa, AZ - The Mesa Thunderbirds women's soccer team hung tough with a good Chandler-Gilbert team but it was a lone Coyote first half goal that was the difference Tuesday night at John D. Riggs Stadium.
Mesa used a stingy defense to keep the Coyotes at bay for most of the afternoon but couldn't generate much on the offensive side of the pitch. The T-Birds have dropped its last three matches and will head to Arizona Western on Thursday for an afternoon showdown with the Matadors.
