Women's soccer battle hard, drop playoff game against Phoenix, 3-2

Phoenix, AZ- In a hard fought battle with the Phoenix Bears, the Mesa women's soccer team fell in the Region I, Division I quarterfinal at Rose Mofford Park, 3-2.

Mesa fell behind early 2-0 against the Bears, with Phoenix College continually putting offensive pressure on the Mesa defense.   The Bears went up 3-0 before Mesa finally kicked in their first goal at the 44 minute mark by Isabele Casillas.

In the second half, Mesa stepped up their defense and starting putting pressure on the Bear defense. 

Mackenzie Brown kicked in the T-Bird second goal at the 70:41 mark, dribbling it from midfield to just in front of the box, scoring the goal in the top side of the goal. 

Mesa continued to pressure the Bear defense but just couldn't convert anymore scoring oppurtunities. 

The T-Birds finish the season 7-13-1.
