Mesa, AZ- Mesa was able to score first against Phoenix College Monday night but the Bears scored the final two goals to beat the T-Birds on their home field, 2-1.
Rianna Poarch(So., Gilbert, AZ, Williams Field H.S.) connected on a 40 yarder, right past the out reach Bear goalkeeper, putting Mesa up 1-0 in the first half.
Not long after though, the Bears came back with a goal their own, knotting the score at 1-1.
The Bears added one more goal that happened to be the deciding factor in the T-Bird defeat.
Mesa moves to 3-2 on the season, while the Bears are now 4-2.
The T-Birds will have a bye this Thursday and then off to Glendale Saturday morning to face the Gauchos at 10:00 am start.
