Mesa, AZ- The women's soccer team easily defeated the Gateway Geckos Tuesday night, 6-0.  

Jenny Montelongo(Fr., Flagstaff, AZ, Coconino H.S.) and Amanda Hoyt(Fr., Flagstaff, AZ, Coconino H.S.) each scored two goals, both scoring one in each half.

Mesa also had goals from Isabel Casillas(Fr., Yuma, AZ, Kofa H.S.) that came in the second half from the top of the box.  The T-Birds fourth goal came off the foot of Sierra Connell(Fr., Bullhead City, AZ, Mohave H.S.) with Victoria McClelland(So., Colorado Springs, CO, Gilbert H.S.) getting the assist. 

Mesa moves to 2-1 on the season.  The T-Birds will be on the road this Saturday at Scottsdale, a day game starting at noon.
