Kapanicas shares medal honors at Redhawk Invitational

  • Mesa, AZ – Haley Kapanicas tied for medal honors and the Mesa women's golf team had four of the top eight individuals as the T-Birds opened their 2017-18 season at the Benedictine-Mesa Redhawk Invitational Monday and Tuesday.
    Kapanicas fired an81-82—163 to tie with Embry Riddle's Jessica Williams at the Mesa Country Club.
    Megan Fusak tied for third with an 87-82—169. Taylor Gransen was tied for sixth at 89-83—172 and Cheyanne Stewart placed eighth, recording an 85-88-173.
    The T-Birds will wait until Oct 4 for their next competition when they host the Longbow Invitational at the Longbow G.C.
