Women's golf scores 44-shot victory at Chandler-Gilbert Invitational

 Queen Creek, AZ - The Mesa women's golf team scored a 44-shot victory in the Chandler-Gilbert Invitational which concluded Tuesday at the Las Colinas G.C. It was Mesa's 73rd consecutive ACCAC tournament victory.

  MCC closed with a 321 for a 638 two-day total. Pima followed at 342-340-=682. Host Chandler-Gilbert was third carding a 401-407—808 with South Mountain fourth at 405-411-816.

  For the T-Birds, Megan Fusak placed third with a 71-81—152 total. Cheyanne Stewart tied for fourth place recording an 81-77—158. Madison Tjaden shot a steady 81-81—162 good for seventh place and Haley Kapanicas finished tied for ninth at 84-82—166.

  The T-Birds get right back into action Wednesday, playing in the South Mountain Invitational at the Legacy G.C., in Phoenix.
