Women's Golf National Tournament DAY 3 Results

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Mesa's women's golf team slipped one spot, to eighth place, as the NJCAA National Championships completed both the second and third rounds Wednesday. Rain had interrupted second round play Tuesday.  

MCC had a 54-hole total of 1016 to trail seventh place Texas Western by 15 shots. The T-Birds are five strokes clear of Murray State, which is ninth. Host Daytona State has a 25-shot lead over Seminole State.  

Jill Harvison (Fr., Mesa, AZ/Mountain View H.S.) leads the Mesa contingent with a 242 total for 54 holes, which is good for a tie for 23 rd place.  

Savannah Cooper (Fr., Sedona AZ/Red Rock H.S.) is at 249 and tied for 32 nd place. Brianna Medrano (Fr., Gilbert, AZ/Gilbert H.S.) is tied for 44 th place at 260. Samantha Hernandez is in a tie for 56th place with a 271 total. Chelsie Peterson (So., Tempe, AZ/Marcos de Niza H.S.) is at 286 and tied for 7th place.  

The tournament concludes Thursday at the LPGA International G.C.
