Women's golf takes all five top spots in victory at Chandler-Gilbert Invitational
MESA, AZ - Charatta Thongbai (So., Gilbert, AZ/Dobson H.S.) charged to a final-round 73 to lead the Mesa women's golf team to the championship of the Chandler-Gilbert Invitational Tuesday as MCC claimed all five of the top spots individually.
Thongbai closed with a 77-73--150. That highlighted a 309-305--614 performance by the T-Birds to easily out-distance second place South Mountain which finished at 327-332--659.
Sierra Myerscough (So., Champaign, Ill/St. Thomas More H.S.) took second place with a 74-79--153 and Jacquelyn Porman (So., Gilbert, AZ/Chandler H.S.) was third carding a 79-75--154.
MCC will close its regular season April 20-21 at the South Mountain Invitational to be played at the Legacy G.C. in Phoenix.
