Women's Golf Remains in Fourth Place After Round Three; Records a 966

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla -- The Mesa women's golf team remains in fourth place after round three of the NJCAA Tournament Wednesday. The T-Birds carded a score of 966, just 11 strokes down from McLennan CC, which has 957.

Daytona St. College still leads the pack with a total score of 886, and sits comfortably, while Seminole State-FL stands in second place with 906.

Once again, Charlatta Thongbai, pictured right, (Fr., Gilbert, Ariz./Dobson), led the way, recording a 77, with a total score of 230, sitting in eighth place individually. Jacquelyn Porman (Fr., Gilbert, Ariz./Chandler) wasn't too far behind with an 82 for the day, and a total score of 243, tied for 19th. Sierra Meyerscough (So., Champaign, Ill./St. Thomas) surpassed Sarah Kaye (Fr., Scottsdale, Ariz./Chaparral), recording a 79, and standing at 245. Kaye shot an 85, putting her three strokes up from Chelsie Peterson (Fr., Tempe, Ariz./Marcos De Niza), who posted a 90, sitting at 275.

The T-Birds will tee off one more time with hopes to move up to third place on the LPGA International's Hills Course.
