Women's Basketball Enter's 2017-2018 Ranked #11 in NJCAA Pre-Season Polls: Change of Location to This Weekend's Game With Midland

Kori Stephenson and her Mesa Thunderbirds women's basketball team enter the 2017-2018 season ranked as the #11 team in the pre-season NCJAA DII polls.

Coming off a 23-10 overall record and a NCJAA DII National Tournament appearance, Mesa will look to returning point guard Takara Wade to lead a new set of players to Harrison, AR for the national tournament this season.

Other returning players from last season are Anessa Glenn, Deja Dagons and Bianca Casares with Glenn and Dajons seeing a significant amount of playing time last season.

With the incoming personal Stephenson has to work with, Mesa will have more of a run and gun style of play.

** Important to note, the game this coming Friday against Midland College that was scheduled to be played at Theo Heap Gym has now been relocated to Scottsdale Community College at 5:30 pm.
