Tori Lloyd, Allies Fuller and Quynne Huggins Earn All Region / ACCAC Honors
With the regular season over and the post season about to get underway, the Region I and ACCAC Postseason Teams have been released and three Mesa Thunderbirds have earned spots on both teams.
Tori Lloyd, Allies Fuller and Quynne Huggins have all earned spots on the All-Region I and All-ACCAC teams.
Tori Lloyd earns a spot on the All-ACCAC Second Team and All-Region DII First Team. Lloyd averaged 13.3 points per game with 4.3 rebounds per game and 3.9 assists per game, which ranked her fourth in the ACCAC.
Quynne Huggins also earned a spot on the All-ACCAC Second Team and All-Region DII First Team. Huggins averaged 13.8 points per game with 5.9 rebounds per game. Huggins shot 82.1 percent from the free-throw line, second in the ACCAC. She also earned ACCAC DII Player of the Week honors for her performances against Arizona Western and Tohono O'Odham, where she averaged 18.5 points per game with eight rebounds per game.
Allies Fuller earned a spot on the All-ACCAC Third Team and All-Region DII Second Team. Fuller averaged 11.6 points per game with five rebounds per game. Fuller also earned ACCAC DII Player of the Week honors for her performances against Pima and Phoenix College, where she 22.5 points per game and average nine rebounds per game.
Lloyd, Huggins and Fuller led the lady Thunderbirds to a #1 seed in the ACCAC DII conference tournament and a 20-8 overall record, and a 16-6 conference record.
