Women's Basketball Hosting Mesa Classic Friday and Saturday
The women's basketball team will host the first annual Mesa Classic at Theo Heap Gym on Friday and Saturday. The classic will host four teams, North Idaho College, Trinidad State College, Cochise College and the host team, Mesa Thunderbirds.
It will be two games a day, starting on Friday night at 5:30 between Cochise College and North Idaho College with the Thunderbirds playing Trinidad State at 7:30 p.m.
On Saturday, Cochise College will play Trinidad State at 2 p.m. with Mesa playing North Idaho College at 4 p.m.
For Mesa, this is their first home game of the season. The T-Birds opened up the season at the Arizona Western Classic in Yuma, AZ. Mesa defeated Tohono O'odham in their first game, 65-40, then they beat Cetys - Mexico, 66-56.
