Midland, TX- Coach Kori Stephenson adds to her many accomplishments in her coaching career by notching win number 200 with a victory over Garden City Community College, 71-68.
This is the first victory for the T-Birds this season as it comes on the final day of the WNIT Tournament hosted in Midland, TX.
For Coach Stephenson, she is now 200-96 as head coach of the Lady T-Birds after taking over the program in 2006. In her tenure, she has guided her teams to six 20 win seasons, three ACCAC Region II Championships, three National Tournament appearences with a National Championship victory in 2014. She also won the DII NJCAA National Coach of the Year in 2014.
Mesa will be back at home next Wednesday night against Arizona Western, tipoff at 5:30 p.m.
