Women's basketball re-enters Top 10

NJCAA Division II poll

  COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Sporting a five-game winning streak, the Mesa women's basketball team has re-entered the NJCAA Division II Top 10 this week at No. 10.

  The defending national champions, the T-Birds, now 16-6, entered the season ranked No.1 in the nation in the pre-season poll. The tough schedule MCC always faces resulted in several early-season losses, dropping Mesa into the second ten. Four of Mesa's six losses have come to Division I programs and another to a strong California team.

  The T-Birds have two games this week, visiting Glendale Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. and hosting South Mountain Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
