Women's basketball easily handles Phoenix College, 62-31

Mesa was led by Didi Moloi(So., Gilbert, AZ, Campo Verde H.S.) who had four points, four assists and five rebounds.  Mesa once again used suffocating defense to force difficult shots and mistakes which led to T-Bird fastbreaks and easy layups.

The T-Birds outscored Phoenix in the last 10 minutes of the half, 15-5, with plays created by guard Lacey Viselli(So., Suprise, AZ, Valley Vista H.S.) who finished the game with eight points, four rebounds and two assists.

Mesa went to break with a 29-13 advantage.

The T-Birds came out in the second half a bit slow, going without a basket for the first six minutes but within the next three minute span exploded for 18 points.

Briana Clah(Fr., Chinle, AZ, Many Farms H.S.) connected on a huge three pointer on which she was fouled. She connected on her free throw for a rare four-point play that helped Mesa propel to having a huge second half.
